Welcome to Guesthouse Skálafell

- Skálafell is a family farm located on south east Iceland, just by the roots of glacier Vatnajökull. We offer comfortible accommodation in single, double and triple rooms with focus on personal service. The nearest town is Höfn and pearls like Skaftafell and Jökulsárlón (The Glacier Lagoon) are nearby.

- Skálafell is a part of the Icelandic farm holidays company and a 1/3 of the Skálafell area belongs to Vatnajökulsþjóðgarður, the largest national park in Europe. Beautiful hiking trails at the place.

Spring 2012!

- Looking for accommodation this spring? The spring is probably the most busiest time for the regular sheep farmer, but still the most exciting and most enjoying. This spring we expect 450-500 lambs. We have decided to open up or sheep-houses and give our guests the opportunity to experince the farmers life. So if you want to see a birth of a lamb, feed a lamb with a bottle (popular for kids) or just get a close look of the Icelandic sheep, the sheep-house will be open from 10-12 and from 17-19, from april 20th to may 20th.
