Welcome to Guesthouse Skálafell! We’re excited to host you. To make your stay as smooth as possible, here are our booking terms.

Booking & Payments

• Reservations can be made online only through our website or trusted booking partners.

• A valid credit card is required to secure your booking.

• All prices include VAT and applicable service charges.

 

Cancellation & Refunds

• Flexible Bookings:

  • Cancel for free up to 3 days (72 hours) before arrival.

  • If you cancel within 3 days of arrival or do not show up, the full cost of your stay will be charged.

• Non-Refundable Bookings:​​​

  • The full amount may be charged at any time before arrival.

  • These are offered at a lower price but cannot be changed or refunded.

Check-In & Check-Out

• Check-in: From 15:00 (3:00 PM).

• Check-out: By 11:00 AM.

• Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request and subject to availability and a small fee.

 

House Rules 

• Please respect other guests and the property during your stay.

• Smoking is not allowed indoors. A cleaning fee applies if this rule is broken.

• We are unable to accommodate pets.

 

Damage & Liability

• Guests are responsible for any damage caused to rooms, furniture, or property.

• We are not liable for lost or stolen belongings

Force Majeure

• If events beyond our control (e.g., extreme weather, natural disasters, travel disruptions) affect your booking, we will do our best to assist with rescheduling or finding alternatives.
